Offer meets consent. You utilize it whenever you reply. To act upon perceived is based on a comprehension build by free will of choice. Reality offers; you choose to adhere to or ignore it.
If you have a free will, why don't you will yourself into being happy and content at all times?
Because will represents ONE choice of action in adherence to or ignorance of ALL that already is.
The system we exist in is within motion; and choice represents a needed function for balance within motion (aka the momentum). Your existence is defined by the choice to adhere to that act of balancing; to struggle to uphold life over death.
You also have the choice of ignorance; which represents the function of motion itself aka the movement that pulls you (tempts you) towards death, which is why all your wants represent temptations luring towards death.
When you say "will yourself into being happy" then that's based on the belief that will equals want; but in reality will equals choice between need and want aka balance in motion. "content" makes this even more obvious...CONTENT, adjective [Latin; to be held; to hold.] The action of holding onto represents choice of ignorance towards motion in favor for affixed beliefs.
We are not within time (affixed measurement of motion aka past; present; and future aka a suggested inversion of reality to deceive us into consenting to ignorance.); we are within motion...in the ever changing moment(um) of motion.
So why cant you choose to be how you want to be?
Because your needs define what you are within reality (motion); and the more you adhere to them; the more efficient you become. The needs represent self sustenance within motion; while the wants represent the temptation to ignore the needs. All wants trick you to want an outcome; which ignores that the only outcome for you within motion is death, and death represents the needed inspiration to get you to adhere to the sustenance of life.
The sustenance of life within motion demands struggle; while the ignorance of sustaining life represents temptation.
From the energy perspective...ALL represents energy aka the source of ALL information (potentiality). Motion represents the loss thereof; which self segregates ALL (potentiality) into individual ONE (potential) through the momentum (balance) within motion.
Energy creates motion; motion creates energy...together they represent the function of self sustenance, and each of us has the free will of choice to contribute to either loss (ignorance aka want) or recharge (adherence aka need). When ONE adheres to need the fruits of his labors will create unity with other ONEs (potential), and the unity of (ONE) potential within (ALL) potentiality represents the recharge aspect of self sustenance.
You cannot "want" to be anything without ignoring to adhere to the "needs" that sustain what you are. Other ones exploit our ignorance of that by offering us temptations so that we consent to self destruction by ignorance. No other ONE can help you out of this; because it's ONEs free will of choice within ALL to attain self discernment by not choosing to ignore reality (motion) for fiction (beliefs).
