the search engine lets you select a type of event. In this search I selected Death. If you search "All Events", some 30,000 reports come up. You can check it out yourself on the CDC VEARS reporting database
I wish people would give equal scrutiny to covid-19 death counts.
Are these not the same rules that apply to COVID? If someone dies and tests positive then it is counted as a COVID death. If the same rules apply, then I think its a fair comparison.
Not the same rules. Events are not reported to VAERS adverse effect database unless the cause isn't apparent.
Gunshot wound to the head - not reported to VAERS.
Gunshot wound to the head with COVID - counted as a COVID death.
