While I don't see any evidence for what's in your title, you are onto something very important that most people overlook. I believe current events are being implicitly used as metaphors for end times prophecy to eliminate the perceived culpability of the leaders responsible for these events coming to pass.

They have tried to make Donald Trump into an Antichrist figure. Coronavirus represents Pestilence, first Horseman of the Apocalypse. The next Horseman is War.
