Fun fact: the “wild west” was invented by Hollywood jews. There was less gun crime then than today by a factor of 10 or so.

By a large majority, yes. InRange TV has some good content about the subject.

Charleston, AZ was a place straight out of the movies with bodies littering the streets being a common occurrence.

You are correct that big cities like Chicago or New York were far more dangerous than out west.
