3 Time lapse photo from the Celestial Equator. Makes absolutely no sense on a spinning globe the camera would capture stars moving in both directions it is impossible on an oblate spheroid. That is an ultra wide angle EF-S 10-22mm lens. You are seeing the distortion in the lens.
Funny you're just going to hop on here and try to whisk this away with camera distortion, pathetic.
But that's exactly what it is. That's why the trails in the center of the lens look straight. Lens distortion is maximized in the corners.
