Plenty of times in the bible did the "Jews" depart from God. God sees the heart of every individual, and that all went over several times. Some were forgiven, and some weren't. It was however after their murder of Jesus Christ, that the old covenant was modified. We received a new, covenant, that brought in the "gentiles".

Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Those people of the OT and NT were Jews, so .. you agree that Christianity is a Sect of Judaism, just not the Pharaisiac sect? I understand that some are deceived, and that those deceptions can run deep, but that's honestly so gross a misinterpretation of the work of Jesus Christ, and of Gen 12:3 that I don't whether to buy whether you're being completely serious with me.
