They let people into the capitol hoping they would bring guns. But they didn't so now they just made up some fake impeachment charges. The real plan was to use it to ban guns and take them away from those crazy right wingers.
They had a lot more planned with those planted bombs but nobody showed and their actors were too exposed to act
