Yes. I agree. I've been seeing a wide-ranging disinfo campaign on the chans that started coming out as the hype was peaking. Hard to tell who's telling the truth, but one would expect the HFs to start actively spreading false info around that time.

A reddit user u/Laminar_flo was caught astroturfing with a second account u/Sharkbones (iirc). Both accounts got nuked when people called them out on it.
