some people seem to think that its some whale actually moving the price, not the redditors, but the redditors will be blamed once the stock market crashes

Naked shorting is illegal. It's always been the hedge funds fault for breaking the law to overextend itself. Blaming anything else is pointless, they broke laws and couldnt afford the repercussions.
