I think he means you might not know how your vote was tallied. You can't even prove to yourself your vote was who you think it was for and that's a problem.
I voted by mail. The online process allowed me to track my ballot from request to acceptance. I mean, I didn't physically see anyone count or scan it, so I get it, but I do believe it was counted.
I don't know how to prove that, but I'm a Libertarian through and through. I did vote for Obama back in 2008, but I was young and dumb.
