I hate to break it to you, but women change shoes A LOT. Guarantee you Jill has an entire closet devoted to shoes. I would bet she wore no less than 3 pair of shoes that day, and likely had at least one more “comfy” pair for backup “just in case”.
My wife could be at the beach in a swimsuit and pull out an extra pair of shoes from her ear, and I wouldn’t consider it unusual in the least.
