Well, someone finally said it

OP will be accused of being my alt and then targeted and harassed by TMOR et al. for even writing this post. Shows you just how far reddit has fallen, including /r/conspiracy.
I spent a decade devoted to that community, and I was extremely passionate about it.
The decline of the sub since my absence has been as dramatic as it was predictable. There's a reason they came for me...I banned them and their alts.
I was the only mod holding the discourse together, and it was a full time job to do so. They've swarmed the sub since my ousting.
I'm willing to wager that internal reddit comms will show admins planned my ousting in advance. Would love to have a whistleblower come forward with how that all went down.
I'd say it's ludicrous they could remove and suspend the head mod of a 1 million+ sub for "inciting violence" without even citing an example, but they literally did the same thing to the POTUS on twitter 24 hours later, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Here's what /r/conspiracy loses without me (I don't think the remaining mods are motivated to continue these):
monthly transparency reports documenting removals from admins
featured Round Table discussions
featured Documentaries
AMA arrangements
a mod who also produces OC
a tireless defender of conspiracy theories and theorists.
The bad actors always said I was "impartial" and more lenient towards conspiracy theorists in my moderation.
no fucking duh.
When the rest of that shithole reddit turned into an anti-conspiracy echo chamber, what ELSE was I supposed to do? Let /r/conspiracy fall to the same fate?
Towards the end I started to feel like I was the only one preventing the sub from being comsumed by the rest of reddit, and it's looking like I might be right.
The only positive is that my removal actually may have saved the sub...a Senator literally cited "reddit conspiracies" as being responsible for the unrest on the 6th...if reddit inc didn't do SOMETHING (ie removing a "problematic" head mod of /r/conspiracy) it would've looked really bad. It was either quarantine/ban the sub, or remove me, and since I was so vocal about the election fraud and a CLEAR thorn in their side, it was probably a no-brainer for the admins.
Maybe the funniest thing is watching TMOR etc frantically keep looking for my "alts" and accusing every other account of being one LOL.
Trust me, the irony isn't lost on me as I watch the supposedly rabid anti-conspiracy theorists turn into that IASIP Charlie meme.
Hopefully, once the propaganda dust settles, my sincere and passionate efforts over the years towards that place will be better understood.
They really don't like you, lol.
