It's amazing how they continue to become more wealthy as they give away their fortune (seems to be quite beneficial for these billionaires to move their billions into tax free foundation shelters):

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has released its annual letter. In the letter, Bill and Melinda say they give away their money because doing so is both meaningful and fun. The two say they do the work "because it's our life."
