Cloudfare terminated 8chan. Gab is hosted by Epik. Probably currently being overwhelmed by Twitter refugees.

Edit: Gab loads for me on desktop. Might help to change your DNS nameserver to OpenDNS: https://www.opendns.com/setupguide/
