If you think the Supreme Court and the judges will protect, say, the Second Amendment or your free speech rights, then you're sadly misinformed.

I mean, better to have originalist judges than RBG clones, but rights protecting judicial decisions come only AFTER cultural pressure mounts to such an extent they feel that they have cover from the elected branches or they match public opinion.

The days of Warren Court decisions without public support that are "out there" do not occur anymore.
