I noticed today any time I use the word retard on reddit my comments are shadowbanned. Is it just me or are they doing this to everyone? I recieved a three day ban for the use of the word fag (hate speech) and noticed when I made a comment complaining about it they had shadowbanned that also. What words are the moddies censoring?
I motion to use the word ratard instead.
Here is a fun idea, but would take a massive amount of support from trolls to get it successfully pulled off...
Use common words in replace of "hate speech" words. For example, instead of calling someone a fag, we call them a "car."
"Fuck you, you fucking car!"
Instead of calling someone a retard, we say reddit; "Fuck you, you fucking reddit!"
Instead of nigger, we say BLM; "Fuck you, you fucking BLM!"
You get the point?
Then, with so many adopting to the redefined words, the next step would have to be spreading awareness and public knowledge on what these new words of "hate speech" are. Have blogs/articles/forums with the title: "Did someone just call you a "Reddit'd BLM car? - Click here to see what they really mean..!"
It would force these "car BLM reddits" in a predicament where they will say among themselves, "These new hate speech words are triggering and everyone is using them now! Guess we got to put those on the list of 'words to not say'!"
So they ban those words, and a new list of replacement words for offensive "hate speech" words are then generated and used. Rinse and repeat.
End goal is to disrupt the algorithms and make posting any normal content difficult and cause a headache for company/ target audience.
This idea is not just targeted for reddit, but any site keen on censorship.
I don't hate this idea.
This is the way
