They'll just say it's a "deepfake" and dismiss it.
But deepfake "evidence" will be fabricated to indict patriots and conservatives and the corrupt courts will accept it as true.
Post January 6, regardless of who's president, I suspect they will cook up videos of Trump doing bad things. They'll manufacture "evidence" of Trump doing bad things in Russia and will use it to attack /impeach/indict him and break the morale of Trump supporters. They already have all the support they need from the MSM to convey their lies to the masses.
These are dangerous times.
How can we possibly counter this situation?
Fortunately deepfake, regardless of how advanced it sounds, is not anywhere close to being able to pass forensics.
Doesn't matter. If it helps push an agenda they'll use it. The vast majority of the population are asleep. They'll believe whatever the MSM says is real. Even deepfakes.
