Call me a doomer or whatever, but I think we've hit the point where it's more or less impossible to get rid of the deep state. The roots are too deep. I do think people fully intend to try, but once in a position of power, they realize the extent (and/or the death threats to them and their family). Look at all the politicians getting away with actual crime, and there's always an excuse in the courts or from an alphabet agency as to why nothing can be done.
