I went down this rabbit hole 20 years ago and came to the conclusion that some oil we pump is abiotic, but most of what we’ve been pumping is organic. Meaning it’s both a fossil fuel and naturally occurring (deep inside crust/mantle) hydrocarbon. The qualities and characteristics of the crude are different.
