Since the meme retort of every commie is that 'that wasnt true communism' after every communist society fails, what in your opinion was the best or closest of all the failed attempts?
I truly believe the soviets of the pre-Stalin era had it right. They took an agrarian peasant economy with a literal monarchy and in 10 years were matching the production, education, and housing quality of the west, which took far longer to arrive there under mostly pure capitalism. Of course Stalin was a disaster.
It always takes less time for the second guy than the first mover.
So from 1918-1924, pretty good run, lol. And the Cheka operated all during this time.
